Kempton park is a beautiful suburb in the East Rand centrally located between Johannesburg City Central and Pretoria. Kempton Park is conveniently situated near OR Tambo international Airport. Part of Kempton Park sub-suburb is Spartan and Isando which is South Africa’s largest industrial centre. Rhodesfield Gautrain Station in Kempton Park is accessible without hassles saving on travel time and cost.

History

Kempton Park lies on two boer farms. The first farm is Zuurfontein No 369 that belonged to Johannes Stephan Marais in 1859 and the second is Rietfontein 32IR that belonged to Cornelius Johannes Beukes in 1865. After discovery of gold in Johannesburg in 1886, a railway connecting Pretoria to Vereeninging to the Cape was constructed in the 1890’s. The railway did not pass through Johannesburg but passed through the two farms with a station called Zuurfontein. Kempton Park was established on 24 August 1903 when a portion of the Zuurfontein farm was sub-divided into 216 Residential Stands.
